These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and services provided by Ward Ventures LLC ("Ward Ventures," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Who we are
Ward Ventures LLC is a member-managed limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. We operate three ventures — Ward Notary Services, Grain & Skillet, and Barney's Blooms — and offer custom web development services under the Ward Ventures name. You can reach us at support@ward-ventures-llc.com.
3. Services
We provide notary services, artisan baked goods, seasonal floral arrangements, and custom web development as described on our website. Availability, quantities, and offerings may be limited and are subject to change without notice. Descriptions and images are provided in good faith but may vary from the final product, particularly for handmade and seasonal items.
4. Pricing & payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and are subject to applicable taxes. Online payments and invoices are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. By submitting a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms and authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the agreed amount. We do not store full payment card information. Web development and other project-based services may require an upfront deposit and are billed by milestone or on completion, as set out in your quote or statement of work. Quoted prices for custom or mobile services are valid for the period stated in the quote.
5. Notary services
Notary services are provided by a notary public commissioned by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Notary fees are charged in accordance with the maximum fees permitted under Virginia law. A notarization verifies identity and witnesses a signature; it is not legal advice, and we cannot draft documents, advise on their content, or act as your attorney. We reserve the right to decline a notarization where the law requires or permits, including where a signer cannot be properly identified or appears unable to act of their own free will.
6. Bakery & floral
Baked goods are produced under the Virginia cottage food exemption in a home kitchen that is not subject to state inspection, and are not for resale. Products may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, and seeds. It is your responsibility to inform us of allergies; we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Bakery and floral items are perishable and made to order. Floral offerings under Barney's Blooms are seasonal and subject to availability.
7. Web development
Web development engagements are defined by a written quote or statement of work that describes the deliverables, timeline, revisions, and payment schedule. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you own the final delivered website content and custom code once payment is made in full, while we retain rights to underlying tools, frameworks, and reusable components. You are responsible for the lawfulness of content you provide and for any third-party services, domains, or hosting selected for your project. We are not liable for downtime or issues arising from third-party platforms.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our website or services for any unlawful purpose, to provide false information, to request services involving fraudulent or illegal documents, or to interfere with the operation or security of our website.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and the names "Ward Ventures," "Ward Notary Services," "Grain & Skillet," and "Barney's Blooms" — is the property of Ward Ventures LLC and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
10. Disclaimers
Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ward Ventures LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service will not exceed the amount you paid us for that service.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
