Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be satisfied with every service from Ward Ventures LLC. Because we offer different types of services — some regulated, some perishable, some project-based — refund and cancellation terms vary by service. This policy explains how each works and how to reach us.
Service fulfillment
Services are delivered on the date and time agreed at the time of booking or order. Notary appointments are scheduled directly with you. Bakery orders are prepared for a scheduled pickup. Floral arrangements are prepared for an agreed pickup or delivery date. Web development work is delivered according to the timeline set out in your quote or statement of work. We will contact you promptly if we are unable to fulfill a confirmed order.
Notary services
- Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule a notary appointment at no charge up to 4 hours before the scheduled time.
- Travel fees (mobile): If our notary has already traveled to your location, the quoted travel fee is non-refundable. The per-act notary fee is only charged for acts actually performed.
- Refused or incomplete notarizations: By law, we cannot perform a notarization in certain circumstances (for example, if a signer cannot be properly identified). Where a notarization cannot lawfully be completed, the per-act fee for that act is not charged or is refunded; any travel fee already incurred remains payable.
Bakery (Grain & Skillet)
- Baked goods are made to order and perishable. Under Virginia cottage food rules, bakery orders are paid at pickup.
- Cancellations: Please cancel or change an order at least 48 hours before the scheduled bake/pickup date so we can adjust our limited weekly production.
- After pickup: Because items are perishable and made fresh, we cannot accept returns once an order has been picked up. If there is a quality problem, contact us within 24 hours and we will make it right with a replacement or credit.
Floral (Barney's Blooms)
- Floral arrangements are seasonal, perishable, and made to order.
- Cancellations: Orders may be cancelled for a full refund up to 48 hours before the agreed pickup or delivery date. Within 48 hours, a deposit covering sourced materials may be retained.
- Quality issues: If you are not satisfied with an arrangement, contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we will offer a replacement or credit.
Web development
- Web projects are quoted up front and typically begin with an upfront deposit that reserves your project slot and start date.
- Before work begins: you may cancel for a full refund of any deposit paid.
- After work begins: deposits and fees for completed work or milestones are non-refundable, as labor and third-party costs (such as domains and hosting) are incurred on your behalf. Any pre-paid balance not yet earned is refunded.
- The scope, number of revisions, and payment schedule for each project are set out in your written quote or statement of work.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. For payments made at the time of service (such as in-person notary fees or bakery pickups), refunds are handled directly with you.
How to request a refund or cancellation
Email support@ward-ventures-llc.com with your name, order or appointment date, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within one business day.
